Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
Definition
An abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a condition characterized by a weakened area of the abdominal aorta, the main blood vessel that supplies blood to the lower part of the body. The weakened area can lead to an enlargement of the aortic wall, increasing the risk of rupture and potentially life-threatening internal bleeding.
